As the race for the chairmanship seat of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) intensifies, contestants across Kosofe’s 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas have ramped up subtle publicity and awareness campaigns. Transparency, accountability, and public trust have emerged as the central themes in the campaign messages of these aspiring leaders.
Frontline candidates vying for the Ikosi-Isheri LCDA seat, predominantly from the All Progressives Congress (APC), have placed significant emphasis on these public concerns. Their campaign materials, including text messages, digital flyers, and posters, reflect promises of inclusive governance, an open-door policy, and holistic stakeholder engagement—all aimed at addressing the community’s pressing needs.
In response to hushed discussions among residents about the current administration’s alleged lack of transparency, these candidates are pledging to foster a sense of belonging among all community members. Their goal is to bridge social and political divides within Ikosi-Isheri, driving collective progress and prosperity.
Though the opposition candidates have yet to formally enter the race, the APC candidates are already voicing public outcry against what they describe as the shortcomings of the governing grassroots administration. Their commitment to addressing bad governance and building a brighter future for the Ikosi-Isheri area is resonating with kingmakers and electorates alike.
