The Executive Chairman of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Samiat Bada, has joined her counterparts from 20 local governments and 37 local council development areas in Lagos to sponsor selected cabinet members and councilors for training in the United Kingdom.
The group of over ten participants departed Nigeria yesterday evening and is expected to arrive in the UK today for this important capacity-building initiative.
More than a year ago, Ikosi Isheri LCDA began processing this training for its members, but plans were put on hold. Recent viral reports highlighting the successful trips of counterparts from other councils, alongside public outcry, spurred this renewed commitment.
