A major boost has come the way of Ganiu Yomi Fatai, a chairmanship aspirant in Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), as Hon. Kayode Akanni Oguntunde, a prominent figure within the All Progressives Congress (APC), publicly endorsed him ahead of the party’s primary and the July local government elections.

The endorsement, delivered during a gathering of party faithful on Fasanya Street, Agboyi-Ketu, drew a large crowd of supporters and signaled growing momentum for Fatai’s campaign.

Oguntunde, a respected grassroots politician and influential stakeholder in the LCDA, praised Fatai’s reliability, loyalty, and leadership qualities. “We need leaders who are committed to delivering on promises and dedicated to the progress of our constituents,” he said, noting that Fatai possesses the capacity to move Agboyi-Ketu forward.

The endorsement was met with enthusiastic applause from attendees, many of whom pledged to support Fatai’s candidacy as the campaign season intensifies.

At the event, Oguntunde also introduced Hon. Azeeee Adelanwa as his preferred candidate for councilor representing Ward D, further reinforcing his alignment with aspirants he believes can deliver good governance at the grassroots.

While the APC as a party is yet to officially declare its flagbearers for the election, Oguntunde’s backing is seen as a strong signal of internal party dynamics and likely influence on delegates ahead of the primaries.

Supporters at the event expressed confidence that the endorsed aspirants would bring about meaningful development and inclusive leadership if elected. Oguntunde concluded the event by urging his followers to stand firmly behind the aspirants, as the race for the Agboyi-Ketu council leadership begins to take shape.
