As the chairmanship primaries draw near in Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), leading aspirant Hon. Shakiru Adekunle Balogun, widely known as BASH2025, has announced a “Peace Walk” aimed at promoting unity and peaceful political engagement.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 1 p.m., starting from MEGAPOT and proceeding through major parts of the LCDA before ending at Alapere. The rally is expected to bring together residents, political supporters, and community leaders in a show of solidarity and commitment to non-violence.

Balogun described the initiative as a timely reminder of the need for mutual respect and peaceful coexistence among aspirants and community members. “This Peace Walk is a call for all stakeholders to prioritize harmony and mutual respect as we head into the primaries,” he said in a statement.

He further emphasized that the rally aligns with his vision of a collaborative and inclusive approach to leadership and community development.
