The Lagos State Barbers, Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association (LABHCA) has appointed Chief (Mrs) Oluwatoyin Adelaja, popularly known as Toyas, as its Special Adviser on Political and Social Matters.

The announcement was made during the 2025 LABHCA Day celebration, held on Thursday, May 22, at Blueroof, Agege, Lagos. The event drew members from across the state in a vibrant display of unity, recognition, and celebration of key contributors to the association’s development.

LABHCA President, Mrs. Folashade Faith Sodeeq, who presented the certificate of recognition, commended Chief Adelaja for her longstanding dedication and notable impact on the association’s growth and engagement with the wider community.

“Chief Adelaja has been a consistent voice within LABHCA. Her passion for service and community engagement makes her a natural fit for this advisory role,” Sodeeq said.

Chief Adelaja, a familiar face in the association’s leadership circles, previously contested for the office of Vice President in 2021 alongside the current occupant, Comrade Rasak Bisiriyu.
