Former lawmaker representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Gbenga B. Ashafa, has congratulated the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, on the successful completion of her first 100 days in office.

Senator Ashafa gave the commendation on Friday, November 7, during the grand finale of the Renewed Hope Palliative Distribution organized by the Bada-led administration to mark the milestone.
In his message, the senator hailed Bada’s visionary leadership and people-centred governance, describing her first 100 days as “a period of tangible impact and renewed commitment to grassroots development.”

He highlighted some of the council’s notable achievements, including the commissioning of multiple roads and the ongoing construction of the New Mile 12 International Market (Phase II), aimed at creating a safer and more organized trading environment.

Ashafa further lauded Bada’s administration for its forward-thinking initiatives such as the proposed low-cost housing scheme for working-class families, the Ikosi-Isheri Recreational Centre for youth and wellness development, and the modernization of the local fire station to improve emergency response capacity.
He also praised the introduction of the Monthly Renewed Hope Cash Support Programme, which provides ₦100,000 to 500 residents monthly, describing it as “a compassionate intervention that brings dignity and relief to households amid current economic hardships.”
Senator Ashafa urged the council chairman to remain steadfast in her people-oriented leadership approach, expressing confidence that her passion and dedication would continue to yield greater achievements for the residents of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.
He concluded by wishing her continued success and praying for divine wisdom and strength as she sustains her commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
