The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, has released the list of cabinet members for Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, with several notable political figures emerging in the 17-member executive team.
The list, released on March 2 and obtained by KosofePost on March 5, includes the founder of TOS Education Initiative, Taiwo Ololade Salvador. Prior to her appointment, Salvador had been actively involved in championing educational and cultural initiatives across Lagos State.

Also named on the list is Rosemary Olayemi Oshoffa, who returned as a statutory cabinet member of the council. Oshofa previously served in the last administration as a non-statutory cabinet member without voting rights in executive decision-making. Her latest appointment marks an elevation within the council’s executive structure.

Oshoffa had earlier contested in the 2025 primary election of the All Progressives Congress for Ward C but stepped down in deference to party supremacy after her ambition was unsuccessful.
In another development, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Samiat Abolanle Bada, included former Councillor representing Ward B, Ganiu Oni, in the cabinet lineup.

Oni, who had returned for a second term as councillor, was reportedly frustrated politically following a rift with his estranged political leader and the lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Kafilat Adetola Ogbara, during the APC primary election process.
Sources told KosofePost that Bada had assured Oni of a cabinet position as compensation for his loyalty and commitment to her administration.
However, former Supervisory Councillor for Environment, Kehinde Fatoki, did not make the newly released list.
Fatoki’s name was absent from the March 2 list obtained by KosofePost. His previous two appointments in the council were reportedly facilitated through the intervention of Bisi Akande, former Governor of Osun State and a past National Chairman of the APC.
Political sources suggested that despite being regarded as experienced within past administrations, Fatoki’s alleged disloyalty to the Bada-led administration during the buildup to her controversial return to office may have contributed to his omission. He was reportedly aligned with a coalition of chairmanship aspirants during the 2025 Ikosi-Isheri LCDA political contest.
Another source within the political circle indicated that after benefitting from two previous appointments allegedly secured through Akande’s intervention, some party stakeholders believed it was no longer sustainable for him to continue holding such positions without demonstrating independent grassroots political strength.
Nonetheless, insiders hinted that if reconciliation between Fatoki and the council chairman is successful, he may still be considered for a non-statutory appointment, which remains within the discretionary powers of the council chairman.
