The Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Adetola Aduni Abubakar, has yet to respond to media enquiries regarding alleged delays in the entitlements of members of the council’s Executive Committee.
The concerns follow the swearing-in of the committee on March 6, 2026, amid reports that the officials were inaugurated without key administrative provisions, including employment letters, office allocation, and payment of salaries.
In a letter dated April 2, 2026, KosofePost formally requested clarification from the council chairman on the matter. The correspondence, signed by the publication’s Founder and Publisher, Abayomi Bilesanmi, acknowledged the chairman’s compliance with the Lagos State Government’s directive on the inauguration of council executives.
However, the publication sought his response to growing concerns over the delay in issuing employment documentation, providing workspace, and ensuring remuneration for the affected officials.
“As a media platform that places high value on balanced and accurate reporting, we consider it important to obtain your perspective before publishing and circulating our report,” the letter stated.
KosofePost also indicated that it may proceed with publication if no response is received within a reasonable timeframe, while still allowing the chairman the opportunity to comment afterward.
As of 2:00 p.m. on the day the enquiry was made, no official response had been received from Hon. Abubakar regarding the allegations.
The publication noted that it will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as developments unfold.
