APC Flagbearer Dele Oshinowo Calls for Unity After Kosofe Primary Victory
Kosofe Federal Constituency’s All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer for the House of Representatives election, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has called for unity among party members and supporters following the conclusion of the party’s primary election.
In a statement issued after emerging victorious in the APC primary, Oshinowo described the exercise as “democracy in its truest form,” noting that party members were given the opportunity to freely exercise their rights to vote and be voted for.
He commended his fellow aspirants, including Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, Hon. Oluremi Odunsi, Hon. Yetunde Arobieke, and Hon. Aina Olayinka Abigeal, for what he described as their passion, dignity, and commitment throughout the campaign process.
According to him, the contest strengthened the APC in Kosofe and encouraged wider political participation across the constituency.
“Now, the primary election is over, and the bigger assignment begins,” Oshinowo said, urging party members, stakeholders, and supporters to close ranks and work together ahead of the general election.
He emphasized that the APC remains one united family, adding that collective interest must always take precedence over individual ambitions.
The APC candidate also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and commitment to democratic growth within the party.
He further appreciated Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other party leaders across the state and Kosofe for their support during the primary process.
Oshinowo also acknowledged key political figures and supporters, including Busura Alebiosu, Olumuyiwa Sosanya, S. A. Oyedele, and Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, for their contributions and loyalty throughout the campaign.
Addressing residents of Kosofe Federal Constituency, he thanked voters for their confidence in his candidacy and pledged to remain connected to the grassroots while working towards securing victory for the APC in the forthcoming general election.
He described his emergence as the party’s candidate as “the victory of unity, loyalty, and hard work.”
