The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Kosofe Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has called for unity among party members following the conclusion of the party’s primary election.

Oshinowo made the appeal in a message shared on his official X handle, where he extended a hand of fellowship to the incumbent member representing the constituency, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara.

The former Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) chairman described the primary election as a concluded internal contest and urged party members to focus on the task ahead.

“Primary election is gone and over! We’ve all promoted our party and we are all still one big family,” Oshinowo wrote.

He specifically appealed to Ogbara to join efforts aimed at securing victory for the APC in the forthcoming general election.

“Like I have aligned and called on every aspirant, I’m calling on my person @KafilatOgbara to let’s work together to deliver the party comes 2027,” he stated.

Oshinowo stressed that political competition within the party should not be interpreted as personal hostility, noting that he and Ogbara had worked together in the past and could continue to collaborate in the interest of the constituency and the party.

“That I won the primaries doesn’t make us enemy, we’ve worked together before and I will be more than glad to work with you again,” he wrote.

The APC candidate also acknowledged the importance of collective effort in achieving electoral success, stating that no individual could accomplish the task alone.

He further pledged support for Ogbara throughout the remainder of her tenure in the House of Representatives and expressed confidence that she would reciprocate the gesture in the future.

“We have an election to win. You have my full support for the rest of your tenure and I believe I can count on you for the years ahead,” Oshinowo added.

The reconciliation message comes as the APC begins efforts to consolidate support across Kosofe Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.

Political observers say calls for unity among party stakeholders are expected to play a key role in strengthening the party’s position as preparations for the election gather momentum.
