A family has appealed to the public for financial support to help fund the treatment of Emmanuel Odize, who has been diagnosed with advanced oesophageal cancer.
According to a statement shared by a family member on social media, what initially appeared to be a manageable health condition has progressed into a serious medical emergency requiring urgent intervention.
The family said medical specialists have recommended immediate treatment, with the estimated cost put at ₦18.5 million.
In the appeal, relatives explained that they have exhausted their available resources but are unable to meet the full cost of the required treatment.
“What started as a health challenge has now become a fight for his life,” the statement said.
The family is calling on friends, well-wishers, charitable organisations, and members of the public to assist in raising funds for the treatment.
