The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Kosofe Federal Constituency, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has formally submitted his nomination forms to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), completing a key requirement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The submission follows the presentation of nomination documents to the party’s candidates by the APC National Working Committee (NWC), marking the commencement of the official candidate nomination process.
Reacting after completing the exercise, Oshinowo expressed gratitude to God, the leadership of the APC, party members, and residents of Kosofe for their support throughout the primary election process.
“I give all glory to God for bringing us this far,” he said.
“To our respected party leaders at every level, thank you for your leadership, guidance, and confidence in me. To every party member who participated in the primary election and entrusted me with your mandate, I remain deeply grateful.”
The APC flag bearer described the submission of his nomination forms as the beginning of the next phase of his campaign, calling on party members and supporters to unite ahead of the general election.
“The official processes have been duly followed, and we now move forward together with renewed confidence, unity, and determination,” Oshinowo stated.
“You have your candidate. Now, our collective focus is clear: to work together, campaign together and, by the grace of God, secure victory at the polls so we can deliver stronger representation for the people of Kosofe.”
He added that the mandate given to him by party members represents a responsibility rather than a personal achievement, pledging to approach the task with humility, dedication and a commitment to the development of the constituency.
With the nomination process now completed, attention is expected to shift to grassroots mobilisation and issue-based campaigns as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections.
