Former chairmanship aspirant of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in the 2025 Lagos State local government election, Comrade Abiodun Lasiru Ogungbo, has praised the Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. (Mrs.) Adetola Adunni Abubakar, for what he described as remarkable achievements in her first year in office.
Ogungbo, who also served as Director-General of Team Adunni, said the chairman’s one-year scorecard reflects significant progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, empowerment, and grassroots development across the LCDA.
In a statement marking Abubakar’s first anniversary in office, the public servant and administrator described her emergence as a decision that has continued to yield positive results for residents.
“Exactly one year today, the people of Agboyi-Ketu unanimously took a decision that is largely paying off today—a decision that a generalissimo and a demagogue par excellence should take up the mantle of leadership for the LCDA,” he said.
He commended the chairman’s leadership style, describing it as one rooted in the development philosophy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he referred to as the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Ogungbo, Abubakar has recorded notable achievements in infrastructure and socio-economic development, providing projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.

“Dear workaholic chairman, you have greatly impacted infrastructure and piloted socio-economic development for a smarter Agboyi-Ketu, evident in the provision of world-class infrastructural facilities to support the growing population of the area. Your achievements remain phenomenal and unmatched,” he said.
He also highlighted some of the administration’s education initiatives, including the launch of the “Back to School Boost Programme,” which provided free GCE and JAMB registration forms for students, as well as the organization of regional spelling bee competitions.
Ogungbo further praised the council’s girl-child empowerment programme, which focuses on safety, hygiene, and education, alongside healthcare initiatives implemented through partnerships that have delivered free health insurance and wellness outreach for vulnerable residents.
Reflecting on the chairman’s first year in office, he said her performance had exceeded expectations.
“For most of us who know you well and can attest to the stuff you are made of, it is not a surprise that, in the last 366 days, you have scaled heights and attained feats too remarkable to express in words,” he said.
Expressing optimism about the future of the LCDA, Ogungbo said residents can look forward to greater development in the years ahead despite the challenges that remain.
“The people of Agboyi-Ketu can now rest assured that the years ahead have a fortune to offer, even when we know that the task ahead is enormous,” he added.
He concluded by congratulating the council chairman on her first anniversary in office, urging her to sustain the momentum.
“Once again, thumbs up and hearty congratulations on your fantastic achievements in office over the last one year. Ride on, Mrs. Tolani Abubakar! You are doing well,” he said.
