Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, Samuel Perry, better known as Broda Shaggi, has spoken publicly for the first time since reports emerged that he was shot by unidentified assailants.
The entertainer, who is reportedly recuperating at an undisclosed hospital, expressed appreciation to his fans for their support and patience during his absence from the public space.
In a message shared via his verified WhatsApp channel on Friday, Broda Shaggi acknowledged the continued show of love from his followers, saying their support had meant more to him than he could express.
He explained that although he had been unable to engage with his fans as he normally would, their continued presence had given him encouragement during his recovery.
The comedian, however, did not disclose details about his condition or the circumstances surrounding the reported shooting, indicating that he was not yet ready to reveal everything about the incident.
Broda Shaggi also expressed optimism about returning to entertainment once he has fully recovered.
He assured his followers that he was looking forward to reconnecting with them and returning to the creative work for which he is known.
