Lagos East Senatorial Leader of the Governors Advisory Council, Otunba Bushira Alebiosu, and Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe, yesterday met in Kosofe.

The meeting, which was held behind closed doors at the GAC leader’s residence in Mende Maryland, Kosofe Local Government, lasted for about two hours.

The reason for the meeting was not made known to journalists, as both leaders declined press interviews at the end of the session.

It was, however, believed that their meeting had to do with an alleged barrier in communication between the council chairman, cabinet members and some APC members believed to be behind the series of social media attacks against the chairman.

Just a week ago, a Facebook page, Kosofe Headline, accused the chairman of running the council as a family business, underpaying cabinet members, and inflation, among other unsubstantiated allegations.

Some political watchers had interpreted the series of posts by platform to mean that loyalists of the GAC leader are behind it and opposed to the Ogunlewe-led administration, but yesterday’s closed-door meeting left everyone guessing.

Meanwhile, the Chief Press Secretary to Ogunlewe, Taiwo Fadipe, when contacted about the meeting, said he was not aware of their discussions.
