An ahlu sunnah wing of The Muslim Congress (Dawatul Tablighi), Abdulazak Abdulrahem takes Islamic propagation to the popular BRT bus in Lagos.
The Kosofe Post (KP) can confirm this to be the case after a recent ride in one of these buses plying the Anthony/Ikorodu route.
During the ride in the bus with bus number 24024 , an Islamic Preacher was heard praising the Lord that took many passengers by surprised.
The preacher wearing white Jalamia, and a cap while holding a prayer mat Misbaha or Tasbih, was the centre of attention in the bus until he alighted at garage Ikorodu bus-stop.
The passengers and BRT bus driver were surprised by preacher action . However, the bus driver called his attention and told him preaching is restricted on BRT buses.
Speaking to KP’s shortly after alerting the bus on what informed his public bus evangelism commonly with the Christians, the Preacher, AbdulRazak, said his mind directed him to do so just because,” it’s the work of Muslim to be preaching the message of Islam. adding that it’s part of it.
He said: “we need to encourage ourself about Islam. We need to know the purpose why God created us.
We don’t just do anything without Allah, without getting plan or future because everything is vanity.
This life is vanity upon vanity. So we need to bear with Allah that there is no God expect Allah. Lai ila ilaha llahu.
“We need to established the worshipping Allah as punctuality. That is the main thing we need to do in our lives because we can not just do anything.
“so, if we say we are talking about job job job before I was given birth there are people engage in jobs, if I die the job will still continue. But what I see that cannot be vanity for me is Islam,” he said.
The Preacher said chosen a good leader in the forthcoming 2023 Election could only be done by God because he is capable of providing the right leaders for the country.
According to him, Our prayer to God is to give us good leaders so that can know the purpose why God gave them the high level that they planned to be.
He said this is because to be a governor was just like politics, the politics was a part and they were talking about religion in Islam let alone the kingdom itself.
The cleric said if they want to vote for any person in islam, they need to ask them all about Islam before they get into positions.
According to him,”We need to ask about Islam for you. Quran memorisation. So what God say? What our prophet? Because some people are just ruling us, without knowing about Islam.
He said they don’t even know what they were calling Islam that it is a peace of religion. They need to submit ourselves. All these things they gathered was vanity upon vanity whether they had luxurious items.
While announcing that TMC’s meet at Oluti in Lagos every Thursdays by 5:30 p.m, he urged Nigerians to remember Allah anywhere at any time and fear Allah.
