Kosofe PDP crisis worsens ahead of Jandor Tour.
The crisis bedeviling the Kosofe chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has taken on an ugly dimension ahead of the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Governorship Candidate Dr. Abdul Azeez Olájdé Adédran Kosofe,’s tour slated for January 17.
According to Kosofe Post findings, the party’s LGA chairman, Adeniyi Olabiran, convened Kosofe leaders and stakeholders at Ogudu, an area of Kosofe, on January 5 to deliberate on the proposed tour of the party’s gubernatorial candidate without inviting Ward Ogudu-Ojota Chairman.
However, uninvited members of the party, allegedly led by Akeem Jimoh, Olufemi Noheem, and Adeola Akinlaja, stormed the venue and started unleashing mayhem by throwing dangerous weapons in the process, destroying party property, and assaulting party chieftain Mr. Onita Coker in the process.
This led to the recent arrest of Olufemi Noheem by Area “H” Command Ogudu, allegedly on the order of PDP’s Southwest General Secretary, Rahman Owokoniran, who was at the time of the incident at Governor Seyi Makinde’s campaign flag-off in Oyo state.
Responding to our correspondent on Wednesday, Owokoniran denied any involvement in the arrest.
He said, “I didn’t ask the police to arrest anyone. I am surprised to see the post. Perhaps you need to visit Ward D, Ojota-Ogudu, to investigate what the problem might be.”
However, Noheem has since been released after signing an undertaking at the Area “H” Police Command in Ogudu.
