Mr. Olalekan Odurin, the Chairman of Oseni, Sylvia Crescent, and Odunlami Community Development Association (CDA) in Anthony village, Kosofe, woke up to discover that his car had been stolen overnight. The gold-colored Toyota Sienna with registered plate number FKJ 858 HW, Engine No: 1MZX0620835, and Chassis no 4T3ZF13C31U339446 was taken from in front of his residence located beside the GTB bank along Anthony Village Road.
Speaking to Kosofe Post on Thursday, Mr. Odurin expressed his shock and frustration over the theft. He disclosed that he noticed the absence of his vehicle early in the morning, raising immediate concerns. Determined to take action, he promptly reported the incident to the Anthony Village Divisional Police Station under the jurisdiction of the Area H Police Command in Lagos.
This unfortunate event has raised concerns about the security situation in the area, prompting residents and local authorities to call for enhanced measures to combat crime. The recent apprehension of three suspected burglars by a private security outfit, Madanwo, and their subsequent handover to the Alonge Police Station for detention, investigation, arraignment, and prosecution, as reported by Kosofe Post, highlights the ongoing challenges faced by the community.
The police have launched an investigation into the car theft case, hoping to recover the stolen vehicle and bring the culprits to justice. Community members have also been urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with the authorities by providing any relevant information that could aid the investigation.
