In response to the tragic incident involving the suspected killers of ex-councillorship aspirant Hon. Samsondeen Alli, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Saliu Oloworo II, of Oworonshoki, has unequivocally disassociated himself and the palace from the individuals implicated in the crime.
In a press statement issued by the palace on Sunday, Oba Babatunde Saliu Oloworo II clarified that Lukmon Taiwo, alias Bobalabe, and Nurudeen Suraju, though indigenes of Oworonshoki and known as Omoonile, are not affiliated with the palace nor do they represent the values or interests of the royal establishment.
Expressing profound sadness, the monarch extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the late Hon. Samsondeen Alli. The entire community mourns the loss of this promising individual, and Oba Saliu empathizes with the grief and pain experienced by the family during this difficult time.
While assuring the community and the public of his full cooperation with law enforcement agencies in their investigation, Oloworo of Oworo is confident that the perpetrators will be swiftly apprehended by the police.
“Justice will be served, and the guilty parties will face the consequences of their actions,” stated the monarch. The palace emphasized its commitment to maintaining peace and security within the community, ensuring that individuals found guilty of criminal activities will not go unpunished.
