Hundreds of elderly individuals and widows gathered to receive the much-needed support, as Bishop Taiwo Akinola, President and Founder of Rhema Christian Church, praised the organization for its generosity. “The food palliatives will significantly benefit the elderly in our community,” Bishop Akinola remarked. He lauded Deacon Oduntan Ekundayo, a church member and the driving force behind the initiative, who chose this act of kindness to mark his birthday.

Ekundayo, reflecting on the personal significance of the event, shared, “My parents passed away ten years apart on my birthday. Through this NGO, I aim to transform this day of sorrow into one of giving back and making a positive impact.” He highlighted the NGO’s ongoing efforts, which include recent donations to an orphanage in Ikeja and business empowerment grants to community members.

Beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the assistance. Mrs. Desola Lawal, another recipient, emphasized the value of the food items, acknowledging how they would sustain her family during tough times.
