A loyal supporter of Princess Bola Kazeem, a former chairmanship aspirant for Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has dismissed recent accusations of betrayal following her appearance at a campaign flag-off rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos East Senatorial District.
Controversy erupted after Princess Kazeem was seen on stage publicly raising the hand of incumbent Chairperson and fellow APC member, Princess Samiat Bada—her former rival in the party’s May 10 primary. The gesture, captured in viral images, was widely interpreted by some party faithful as an endorsement of Bada’s candidacy and a withdrawal of Kazeem’s own political ambition.

Former Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Vice Chairman, Princess Bola Kazeem — seen wearing a white veil — joins APC stakeholders in raising the hand of Samiat Abolanle Bada during the recent Lagos East Senatorial District campaign flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In response, a staunch political ally of Kazeem, identified as Portable, issued a statement dismissing the backlash as “baseless propaganda.”
“The true mark of a warrior is their ability to emerge victorious despite challenges. PBK is a seasoned political player whose commitment to her aspiration remains firm,” he said.
According to Portable, the hand-raising incident was a show of party unity, not a political alignment or concession. He maintained that Princess Kazeem remains actively in the race and is unwavering in her pursuit of the Ikosi-Isheri LCDA chairmanship position ahead of the July 12, 2025, local government elections.

“PBK has not formed any alliances or pledged support for any candidate that would compromise her goals,” he affirmed.
Portable further called on party members and fellow aspirants to avoid distractions and remain focused on the collective mission of delivering victory for the APC. He described the allegations as “deliberate misinformation” aimed at destabilizing Kazeem’s campaign.
“We know the source of this propaganda, but giving it undue attention only derails our shared political objective. PBK is still a goal, and her ambition is intact,” he declared.
Princess Bola Kazeem, a respected grassroots mobilizer and former Vice Chairman of the LCDA, is yet to issue a personal statement regarding the incident. However, her political camp insists she remains committed to the race and has not conceded or stepped down in favour of any aspirant.
Her political future, like much of the drama surrounding the Ikosi-Isheri race, remains a closely watched development within Lagos State’s evolving local government election landscape.
