As political activities gather momentum ahead of the July 12 local government elections, Ambassador Moyosore Badejo, the Labour Party (LP) candidate for Councillor of Ward C, Ifako-Soluyi, has intensified grassroots mobilisation, urging residents to support his bid for community-focused governance.

Badejo, who holds both BSc and MSc degrees, is campaigning under the “S.E.E.D Agenda”—a blueprint that prioritises Sustainable development, Empowerment, Education, and Delivery of inclusive governance at the grassroots.

Speaking through his campaign team, Badejo appealed to eligible voters in Ward C to turn out in large numbers and vote Labour Party, emphasising that the success of the election depends on civic participation and awareness.

His campaign materials, now circulating across the ward, include posters prominently featuring his photograph, the Labour Party logo, and a sample ballot guide. The sample shows the proper way to mark the ballot paper, with a fingerprint placed accurately in the Labour Party box—an effort aimed at educating voters and reducing invalid votes.

“We are running an issue-based, community-driven campaign,” Badejo said in a message to supporters. “The people of Ifako-Soluyi deserve responsive leadership that listens, engages, and delivers tangible results. That’s what the S.E.E.D Agenda is all about.”

The Labour Party candidate faces competition from aspirants under the APC, PDP, SDP, and APGA, as Lagos residents head to the polls across 57 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas.

Observers say Badejo’s campaign has gained traction among youths and community-based groups, positioning him as a strong contender in the ward.

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has scheduled the elections for Saturday, July 12, 2025, with voters set to elect Chairmen and Councillors for local councils across the state.
