With the deadline for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise drawing near, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Kosofe Federal Constituency, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has called on residents to take immediate steps to secure their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs).
In an appeal shared through his official X account, Oshinowo stressed that active civic participation remains essential to shaping the future of communities. He reminded residents that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will close the registration window on July 10, ending opportunities for fresh registrations, transfer of polling units, and replacement of lost or damaged voter cards.
“The future of our communities is shaped by the choices we make and the voices we raise,” Oshinowo stated. “One of the most powerful tools of civic participation is your Permanent Voter’s Card.”
The APC candidate urged all eligible voters, particularly first-time registrants and those seeking to update their voter information, to visit designated registration centres without delay.
He emphasized that voter registration should not be left until the final days of the exercise, warning that missing the deadline would effectively deny residents the opportunity to participate in future elections.
“Do not wait until the final days. Remember, no PVC, no vote. Your vote is your power,” he added.
As the July 10 deadline approaches, Oshinowo’s appeal serves as a final push to encourage residents across the Greater Kosofe area to complete their voter registration processes and position themselves to actively participate in Nigeria’s democratic process.
