The founder of the Children and Community N Protection Network(CCPN), Omoba Rasheed Awofeso, has been honoured with the Environmental Lagos Platform (ELP) Exemplary Award in recognition of his contributions to community development and environmental advocacy.
The award was presented during a ceremony held at a restaurant on Aromire Street, Ikeja, where individuals recognised for their contributions to environmental sustainability, infrastructure development and community welfare were celebrated.
Awofeso emerged winner in the Extension 4 category after securing the highest number of votes through the Environmental Lagos Platform’s public voting process.
He was shortlisted alongside Prince Akinola Egberongbe and Mr. Idowu Akinrinlola, with the final outcome determined through public participation on the platform’s dedicated voting portal.
According to the organisers, the award recognises individuals whose efforts have contributed significantly to environmental sustainability, public infrastructure, health, hygiene and community development across Lagos State.
The Environmental Lagos Platform serves as a civic platform for identifying, reporting and advocating solutions to environmental, sanitation, infrastructure and security challenges affecting communities in the state.
Speaking after receiving the award, Awofeso expressed appreciation to supporters who participated in the voting process.
“I am grateful to everyone who voted for me during the Environmental Lagos Platform awards. This recognition is deeply appreciated,” he said.

The recognition adds to Awofeso’s profile as a community development advocate through the Children and Community Network Protection, an organisation involved in promoting environmental awareness, child protection and community welfare initiatives across Lagos.
