A ‘big man’ died and woke up at judgement gate. Fortunately it was a day new arrivals get to choose where they want to spend eternity.
The ‘big man’ wanted to compare both places. He requested to visit hell first.
His wish was granted.
As the doors of hell opened, he saw his pastor beaming with smiles sipping a glass of wine.
His friends, neighbours, relatives and club members were all smiling and merry. They invited him over.
The devil had no horns or wore a tail. He wore a be-spoke suit and alligator skin shoes. He looked so dashing and handsome.
After a couple of hours he requested to visit heaven. His request was granted.
Heaven was all glitz. The angels were up and about in their royal splendor. The hermony from violins and horns celebrated God.
It was a boring because most of the people there he did not know. There was no loud music and alcohol was not visible.
Back at the judgment gate he was asked to choose. He thought to himself.
I saw my pastor, family and friends in hell and they looked happy.
“Take me to hell “
He told the ‘butler’
In an instant the gates of hell opened. He was ushered into a furnace where the same people he saw merry were now gnashing their teeth and being consumed by fire.
He was propelled by a force he knew not to the presence of the host, devil who was now in his full regalia, with the horns sprouting from his head and a whip in hand.
“Welcome to hell ‘
He said in his characteristic hollow voice .
“Now join your mates”
Frightened, the ‘big man’ said
‘But master i saw a different scenario the last time I visited. Please please what is happening now”
The devil laughed,
“Ha ha ha, ha ha ha, ha ha ha”
‘Fool! The day you visited was my campaign day. This is reality. Now move!’
The build up to political campaigns for 2023 will hit momentum in a few months and yet again, the sweet pictures of a prosperous and happy future Nigeria will be packaged such that we will be tempted to believe, again.
However, reality as usual will set in after they get into office. Be weary of the paid tale bearers and praise singers.
Hell may be whitewashed to look like heaven. It has happened before.
