The grand Chief Imam of Ketu Kosofe and Chairman league of imams/Alfas of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area,
Sheikh Ismail Salisu Balogun has admonished Muslim to Shun one month Muslim lifestyle.

Sheikh Ismail enjoined the Muslim to stop the habit of one month practising Muslim only in the month of Ramadan during the first jumat service in the month of Shawwal, Shawwal 2, 1442 (May 14, 2021) at Ketu Central Mosque, Kosofe, Lagos.

Apparently referring to worshipper who strictly adhere to pillar of Islam during the holy month of Ramadan Imam Ismail said,” Those who only sees Ramadan as the form of worshiping the defeated purpose they were being created.”

“We have attended and listened to series of sermons, lectures during the month of Ramadan but how many do we make use of,” Imam queried.

According to him, The lifestyle of Muslims during the holy month was almost the same if put together in terms of good behaviors and conduct. He enjoined them to sustain the good spirits exhibited during the sacred month.

He further explained that observing the six (6) days fasting in the month of Shawwal in addition to the recently concluded Ramadan will be counted has been obligatory fasting for period of 365 days.

“Whoever fasts these six days will have recorded for him a reward as if he had fasted a whole year, as was reported in a sahih hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

He urged the Muslim to observe the none obligatory Shawwal fasting consecutively or separately; it has great virtue and an immense reward.
