Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
National Leader,
APC, Lagos State.

Sir,

MAJOR INFRACTION AND VIOLATION OF EXTANT ELECTORAL LAW AND REQUIREMENT FOR THE COMING COUNCIL ELECTIONS BY PRINCESS SAMIAT ABOLANLE BADA.

There is a compelling and urgent need to inform you and call your attention to a grave infraction and potent error that may result in avoidable uproar and litigation over the unambiguous provisions and requirements of the electoral laws requiring an aspirant or a party candidate to elective offices to obtain voters’ card, particularly an aspirant in the recent party primaries for Council Chairman’s office.

Asiwaju Sir, there is a compelling need to look into the following as it affects Princess Abolanle Samiat Bada of Ikosi Isheri LCDA:
Whether with regard to the unambiguous provisions of relevant and extant laws, it is not mandatory and obligatory for a candidate being sponsored by a political party to obtain voters’ card.

Whether it is also possible and allowed for a candidate to be sponsored by a political party to wilfully choose, refuse and decide not to have voters card in the imminent Council election in Lagos State.

Ours is not to judge or adjudicate but as a concerned party members, we considered it normal and ideal to alert the party timely to avoid consequences of such.

Already, the public domain is awash with the inconceivable information and fact that Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada did not have a voters card as an aspiring contestant in the coming local government council election in Lagos State.

We have it on good authority that other party lies in waiting to use this anomaly after or before the election. The State Chairman, we were reliably informed is aware of this fact but choose to ignore it.

Princess Abolanle Bada of Ikosi Isheri has never voted in any of the party previous elections and there is no likelihood of her voting in the same election through which she aspires to be the Council Chairperson.

Asiwaju Sir, it is better late than never as infraction such as this if promptly addressed can safe our party from avoidable public outcry, litigation and condemnation.

Yours Sincerely,

Concerned APC party members.
