Interview: “I believe in electorates and I will defend my votes out of thuggery” – Hon. Orosiji Nurudeen

and People’s Democratic Party Chairmaship Candidate in Ikosi Isheri Lcda, Honourable Orosiji Nurudeen Adewale, explains to Kosofe Post his interest in the Local Council seat.

Kosofe Post: With your experience in Local Government administration, could you tell us what motivate you to join the Chairmaship race?

Orosiji Nurudeen: The situation of Ikosi Isheri LCDA; lack of inadequate proper care of LCDA staffs, missed fund of LCDA properties and uses off thugs to intimidate, and defiate the law of LCDA because of their own self interest.

KP: In the last one year the relationship between the executive and legislative arms of Ikosi Isheri LCDA has been chaotic. As a former Councilor if elected what would you do to ensure there’s good synergy between the two arm of Government?

ON: It is because the chairperson lack of good governance exposure and experience.

KP: What would you do to ensure the two arms work harmoniously?

ON: With my experience in political administration, I will ensure the peace within the arms.

KP: Without engaging the service of political thugs; political primary or main election can not be win in Lagos. To win the forthcoming LG election how many thugs have you recruited?

ON: Thanks! I believe in electorates and I will defend my votes out of thuggery, because I don’t believe in violence to achieve the aim of governances.

KP: Who is bankrolling your Campaign?

ON: Nobody, I believe in God.

KP: What are your plans for the people of Ikosi Isheri?

ON: The adequate health care for old and young ones of Ikosi Isheri. Sincerely rehabilitation of the road for the nooks and cronies of LCDA.

kP: Apart from health care and
rehabilitation roads, what other areas are you looking at to boost the standard of living and economy of Ikosi isheri?

ON: Youth empowerment and quantitative education materials

KP: President Muhammad Buhari recently said, “We will send N300m as allocation to a Local Government, one Governor will ask the LG Chairman to sign that he collected N300m but he will give him N100m and the Chairman will keep quiet” if Elected would you allowed political leaders or state Governor to arm twist you to loot Council treasury at the expense of the masses?

ON: I will respect my integritory because such of this happened during the Obasanjo and Bola Tinubu regime (it will not be allowed).

KP: Some school of thought are of the opinion that the incumbent Chairman, Princess Samiat Bada is the best thing that could ever happen to Ikosi Isheri while other School of thought said otherwise. What’s your take on the 15 months administration of Mayoress so far?

ON: She lack good governance experiences and too much ambitious for uncommon seat.

KP: How prepared is your party for the election?

ON: We are seriously prepared.

KP: What is your final word to the Electorates ahead of July 24 Local election?

ON: I promise to give them the ever best. I appeal to the Electorates to elect me to the position of Executive Chairman of ikosi isheri lcda on July 24 to enable me provide good governance devoid of discrimination and political colouration among others.
