The Chieftain of All Progressives Congress, Fouad Oki has intensify 4 years ago battle over the control of the party Structures in Lagos.

Fuad has been at the forefront of ending what is described as monopolization of the party structure by the National Leader of the party, Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu and his supporters since the last Congress which resulted in parallel Congresses across the state.
However, some of his associates such as Ersewhile Lawmaker Representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Dayo Alebiosu, and Former Kosofe Local Government Vice Chairman, Segun Aka Bashorun who was appointed as APC Lagos East senatorial District Vice Chairman in Fuad’s camp and several others later abandoned the struggle to align with Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Although the party establishment had their ways while the aggrieved members were left with little or nothing. Fuad rather adopting the rephrase quote of George Carlin,” If you can’t beat them, arrange to have them beaten you join them” has sustained his protest’ I no go gree’ over the 4 years to ensure that the party structure is perfect without been skewed in favour of Bola only.
However, the 2021 ward Congresses conducted recently favoured the Maverick Politician Jagaban as Ashiwaju Bola is popularly known Nationwide. The devepment has triggered petitions submitted by Fuad to the Lagos State Ward Congress Committee (WCC), claiming the purported Congresses was not held in conformity with the party guidelines and constitution calling for cancellation and acceptable consensus arrangement among the Acknowledged gladiators.
His petition partly reads, “There was no accreditation whatsoever in any of the 245 Wards across Lagos State as there was no membership register provided for the Congress”
“Notwithstanding a & b above, our members trooped out in various wards and conducted the Congress.
“It is surprising therefore, that you went ahead to accept, a prepare list from Alhaji Tunde Balogun as the result of Congress which you did not conduct.”
Fuad and other groups so far succeeded in frustrating the attempt of using Lcda wards during the disputed Congresses. However, keen political watchers are watching the unfolding political devepments to see if the coalition group can reconfigured Politics of Lagos State under the leadership of Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu in the last 22 years.
