Oluwatoyin returns to APC, Visit GAC Leader Omoba Sosanya in Kosofe

The immediate past candidate of Accord Party, Oluwatoyin Adelaja has, again, defected to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).

The 2021 Accord Party candidate for Shaginsha-Magodo ‘Ward B’ Area of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area, Oluwatoyin Adelaja with her supporters, visited member of Governor’s Advisory Council Omoba Ademuyiwa Sosanya in his Ifako Gbagada residence on Thursday.

Oluwatoyin, who vied for Councillorship seat on the platform of APC in 2017 was advised to withdraw for the anointed candidate of the party with the promise of Supervisory Councilor appointment which Later turned out to be an audio statement as gathered.

Unrelenting she joined the race again in 2021 Local Government Election on the Platform APC.

However, dissatisfied with the undemocratic selection process of the party candidates with total disregard to the party constitution and guidelines gathers prompted her to leave APC temporarily for Accord.

According to the viral video her supporters released shortly after the election on July 24 they allegedly said the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) in conjunction with APC rigged the election. However, She decided not to seek redress when contacted earlier by this medium over her unsuccessful ambition.

The professional artisan cum politician return to her party was firstly noticed when she attended the 2021 Constituency stakeholder meeting hosted by Mr. Femi Saheed taking pictures with APC leaders.

Following her appearance at Omoba Sosanya residence she was contacted over her rumoured returned to her former Party.

In her response “As a member of nonpolitical professional organization such as Lagos State Barber Hairdresser and Cosmetology Association,LAHBCA, and Lagos State Council for Tradesmen and Artisans, LASCOTA,  we are stakeholders in grassroots developments in Kosofe and across the state.

On why she has been attending prominent APC members public functions immediately after the election she said residents of Kosofe should not consider the development as a surprise.

Contrary to the notion that Member representing Kosofe Federal Constituency of Lagos, Honourable Rotimi Agunsoye bankrolled her Councillorship race in Accord Party. She said ” I singlehandedly financed it. Some of the Leaders who never deem it I deserve mere Party Excos over 20 years can not say they contributed penny to my Councilorship project. Despite In terms of contact and mobilisation, material and finance I have contributed immersely to APC.”

Toyas as popularly called. However, declined comment on which of the political gladiators she will be aligning with in Kosofe. She added”I am fully back with my numerous Supporters as APC member.”
