Local Government funds has not been tampered with by Babajide Sanwoolu, Says Bariga Lcda Chairman, Kolade Alabi

The President of Association of Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria, ALGON, Conference 57 Chairman and Bariga Local Government Chairman has made clarification on the notion that Local Council funds are being tampered by the State Government.

The ALGON President made clarification recently during the official Commissioning of the Babajide Sanwoolu office complex at IKosi Isheri, Kosofe area of Lagos State.

He commended Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for laying solid foundation of grassroots development through the creation of Local Council Development Areas, which successive Administrations also Keen into which has given birth to various legacy projects at the county level.

“For Local Government to thrive it required a good Governor to administer that state, He started from the days of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to the present Governor of Lagos State,” Conference 57 Chairman stated.

While addressing the pressmen Kolade Alabi said the state Governors don’t touch their money.

He further noted that there’s autonomy in the Local Government in the State. Adding that they are Independent which enabled the healthy projects and competition among Local Councils across the state.

He reiterated that all the Local Government chairmen are working, He further assured that residents will witness more developmental projects in their respective Council areas.

He thanked the Lagos State Governor allowing them to thrive and gave them free hand to run their respective Local Government.
