The Executive Chairman of IKosi Isheri Local Council Development Area, Princess Samiat Bada, has shown love as her immediate past Vice Chairman, Mukhaila Adisa, was included in the Council cabinet members.
The one-time Supervisor Councilior for Health, Adisa, former Supervisor for women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, WAPA, Mrs. Rosemary Olayemi Oshoffa alongside other appointees, were screened by IKosi Isheri Legislative Arm and sworn into office on Friday by Samiat’s led Administration.

Adisa would have been the running mate to the incumbent Chairman. He, however, lost out to the Honourable Thomas Ogunleye camp during the power play in the build up to the Local Government Election.
The political developments in IKosi-Isheri Lcda, where a local council number two man in the last dispensation was appointed to the council cabinet members, is not a new development in Nigeria’s democracy as many people in higher positions humbly accepted to serve at a lower level.
It would be recalled that the late two-term former Deputy Governor of Benue State, Chief Ogiri Ajene of OBI Local Government Area of the state, later went to contest for a councillorship seat and won. Although he didn’t collect his salary.
Many of his followers regarded his condescending as a hallmark of humility and a repented son who was willing to serve his people at any level, while others called him the greatest political failure of his generation.
However, Adisa’s inclusion as non statutory Special Adviser indicated that the earlier differences between him and the Executive Chairman, Samiat Bada, shortly after he left office have been resolved amicably, and he’s still very agile to serve the people of Ikosi Isheri in different capacities.
