Seriki joins House of Assembly race

A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and House Committee Chairman for the Central Business District, Honourable Femi Saheed, may not get a fresh mandate on the platter of gold as more contestants join the race.

The lawmaker succeeded the late Tunde Braimoh, who died on July 10, 2020, through a bye election held in December 2020. By Divine intervention, he emerged as the party
‘s All Progressives Congress candidate out of the seventeen (17) contestants that declared intention for the vacant seat.

Although the primary election procedures for the House of Assembly have not yet been made public, as Lagos East Senatorial District Governor Advisory Council Member Alhaji Akanni Seriki son, Engr. M.O Seriki Bamu, Ex-SLG, Gbenga Osobu, Arc Babatunde Adetunji, and others joined the race, it may not be an easy ride for the first lawmaker described as resourceful by the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rtd. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, to get a fresh mandate.
