The Labour Party and the New Nigerian People’s Party are the fast emerging third political force in the Kosofe Local Government area of Lagos State.
The two emerging political parties are populated by aggrieved All Progresives Congress members, Peoples Democratic Party members, and Nigerians who detest both major parties.

Earlier, speaking to the KosofePost, the Chairman of the Labour Party Lagos State Chapter, Prof. Ifagbemi Awamaridi, disclosed that the party will field candidates for the 40 state constituencies, 24 Federal Constituencies, and the three Senatorial Districts in Lagos.
Ifagbemi Awamaridi, who also emerged as the party’s gubernatorial candidate, added that the party is the only viable alternative to rescue Nigerians from bad leadership, mis-governance, insecurity, and a bad economy, among others.
According to our findings, NNPP is another platform where supporters of some of the disenfranchised candidates are joining to seek the party mandate to enable them to participate in the 2023 general elections.
