Oluwo fish Market: Oloja of Epe, Iya Alaje showers encomium on Senator Abiru

The Oloja of Epe Land, Hrm Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, applauded Senator Adetokunbo Abiru for the remodernized Oluwo fish market in Lagos state.

While speaking to the journalists at the venue of the market on Thursday, His Royal Highness commended the lawmakers for facilitating the rehabilitation of the biggest fish market in the state.
 
While thanking All Progressives Congress 2023 Presidential flagbearer Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the choice of Tokunbo Abiru as Senator, he described Ashiwaju as a good manager and director who can manage the country’s affairs.

“I am very happy for the fish basket of Lagos State because Epe is the fish basket anywhere. We feed many states from here with our fish, “he said.

“For Senator Tokunbo to have come and built an ultra-modern fish market and a mini stadium in Epe, among others, we give big kudos to him, and we are very happy about it.”

Chief (Mrs) Folashade Ojikutu, of Iya Alaje Oluwo market, thanked the senator for his intervention.

She claimed that such intervention was only permitted during the late governor of Lagos, Alhaji Lateef Jakande’s tenure.

“What happened to this market this year? It was only during Jakande that a similar thing was done. What Senator Tokunbo has done for us will forever be in the history books, and we appreciate his transformation of the market,” she said.

The excited Iya Alaje prayed for the lawmaker and long service representing the good people of Lagos East senatorial district.

The dignitaries who graced the well attended commissioning/empowerment included Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos State; Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat; Former Deputy Governor, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye; GAC member, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun; Alhaji Bode Oyedele; Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu; Omoba Muyiwa Sosanya; Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi; and serving federal and state legislators. Other notables include Agboyi ketu lcda Chairman, Mayor Dele Osinowo, Ikosi isheri lcda Chairman, Mayoress Samiat Bada, Mile 12 International Market President, Alhaji Shehu Usman, and 16 LGS/lcdas Iya Oloja’s.
