Adekunle Razaq Aderibigbe (ARA) is a professional Accountant, Business advisor, Policy and Public Affairs analyst. He often refers to himself as a humble learner as a means of sharpening his saw. Aderibigbe is a candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Lagos State, contesting for the seat of Ikorodu 1 Constituency of Lagos State House of Assembly. He is an ardent follower and promoter of Awoism and Nkrumaism socialist theories.
He started his early education with Childsville School and Kiddies Kollege before moving to Oluwole Primary School where he completed his primary education in 1992. He attended the famous Saint Finbarr’s College, Akoka (1992- 1998). While in the Secondary School he was honoured as one of the best Students at the 40th Anniversary of the school. He was also a member of Senior Lit Debate Club and Man O’ War.
He proceeded to Lagos State Polytechnic for his National Diploma in Banking & Finance where he was elected the Students Union Government (SUG) Vice President. He also gained admission to study Accounting in University of Lagos, Akoka where he was also elected as the Vice President.
ARA has about 16 years’ experience in the financial sector and had also been involved in various civil societies and community programmes like Buhari Youth Organisation (BYO), Network for Democracy & Development (NDD), Joint Action for Good Governance (JAGG) and others as a Rapporteur, actively contributing to policies and constitution reviews and formulation. He also has various reports, interviews and press releases to his credit on policy and public affairs.
Aderibigbe has on various occasion engaged various stakeholders, petitioning for good governance, infrastructural development and other societal issues which attracted the desired attention and resolutions, while in some cases palliatives were provided.
Razaq is an Associate Chartered Accountant, Fellow of Institute of Management Consultants, Designate Compliance Professional of Compliance Institute Nigeria. He has attended leadership and management training from various reputable institutes amongst which are Lagos Business School and Harvard Business School.
