The renowned businessman and publisher of the Ireland-based journal, The Street Journal, Mogaji Bowale Oluwole Arisekola, reacted to the endorsement of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, by the leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, on Tuesday.

He said, “When Pa Adebanjo said Ibos are the best brains we have in Nigeria, someone attributed it to senility. Also yesterday, Pa Adebanjo said Afenifere will be supporting Obi, and someone queried the rationale behind this support given that Obi is not the only one contesting from the south.”
According to him, “The current leadership of Afenifere can take any decision of their choice which they are entitled to, but they can’t speak for the majority of Yorubas.”
