This competition will see over a thousand primary schools in Lagos participate under the supervision of SUBEB, which is the government agency responsible for the management of all public primary schools in the state.

In a statement issued by the CEO of LGNA International, Mr. Tunde Jakande, he noted that the All Public Primary Schools in Lagos Debate competition aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES agenda.

The second ‘E’ in the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda stands for Education, which is the administration’s key objective of taking education in Lagos to the zenith.

The Irish Embassy in Nigeria has partnered with LGNA International to support this project as part of its effort to promote a better Irish/Nigerian culture. The Ambassador, His Excellency Peter Ryan, noted that this partnership is aimed at identifying with programs or projects that can add value and promote a better culture.

The qualifying series for the competition will begin on May 27, 2023, in designated districts, and the finals will take place on July 1st, 2023. The competition promises to be an exciting event for the students, teachers, and parents involved.
