The Ahonmi family of Anthony village, located in the Kosofe constituency 1 of Lagos, has revealed the burial dates for the late Mrs. Christiana Olohigbe Ahonmi. Affectionately known as Iya Monday, the renowned food vendor passed away on May 17, 2023, leaving behind a legacy cherished by the community.
The news of Mrs. Ahonmi’s demise struck a chord with the residents of Kosofe constituency 1, who considered her not only a food vendor but a mother figure known for her unconditional love and remarkable nurturing qualities.
According to the obituary received by Kosofe Post, the solemn ceremony to honor the life and service of the late Christiana Olohigbe Ahonmi will commence with a song of service scheduled for 4:00 pm on June 15. The event will be held at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, located in Anthony village, within the Kosofe Local Government area of Lagos.
The funeral service, a final farewell to this beloved matriarch, is planned to take place at the same venue on June 16, starting at 9:00 am. Friends, family, and members of the community will gather to pay their respects and bid farewell to a woman who touched many lives through her culinary skills and nurturing nature.
