In a display of remarkable bravery and community vigilance, residents of Oworonshoki joined forces to apprehend an alleged thief and burglar, swiftly bringing him to justice with the aid of the renowned community security group, “Madanwo.”
The incident unfolded yesterday afternoon at No. 15, Akinpelu Street, Oworonshoki, when an alert resident spotted an unidentified man attempting to break into a house. The suspect, believed to be from Orile/Iganmu, arrived at the scene in a Honda Jeep and allegedly used a master key to gain unauthorized access to the property. Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect was found in possession of stolen items, including a TV set, a watch, and several pieces of jewelry.
Responding to the resident’s call for action, the Oworonshoki community swiftly united to apprehend the suspect, promptly summoning the Madanwo security team for assistance. Demonstrating efficiency and coordination, the Madanwo team arrived promptly and took charge of the situation. To the surprise of those present, other residents stepped forward, claiming that their homes had been victims of recent burglaries, all pointing to the same individual as the potential culprit.
Considering the mounting evidence and potential link to multiple reported burglaries, Madanwo made the decision to transfer custody of the suspect to the Oworonshoki Police for further investigation.
