Unknown Nigerian Army Allegedly Beats Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) Officials.
Tensions escalated in Lagos on Monday as a shocking 51-second clip surfaced, revealing a violent clash between Army personnel and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) officials in the Oregun, Ojota area. The incident occurred amidst a retaliatory response to a viral video from Friday, where LASTMA officials were purportedly seen flogging a soldier in the Kosofe area’s Ketu locality.
In the video captured by an unidentified source, a group of LASTMA officials can be seen fleeing for their safety as uniformed Army personnel stormed the Oregun, Ojota vicinity. The chaotic scene is marked by a sense of urgency, as the LASTMA officials attempt to evade the uniformed men.

Amidst the turmoil, an unfortunate LASTMA official, whose identity remains undisclosed, bore the brunt of the violence. The individual was subjected to a severe beating by the Army personnel, leaving the victim with injuries yet to be fully assessed.
Sources at The Kosofe Post have reported that the violent confrontation can be linked to the previous incident on Friday, where a video emerged, allegedly showing LASTMA officials assaulting a soldier in Ketu, Kosofe. The backlash from this video seemingly fueled the retaliation witnessed on Monday.
Event of Tuesday, August 8, 2023, bring to mind a separate altercation involving a Nigerian soldier and a LASTMA official. The encounter, also caught on camera, showcased a heated verbal exchange escalating into a physical brawl. The issue drew the attention of onlookers, who eventually intervened to separate the combatants.
