Residents of Agboyi Ketu, Kosofe, have issued an appeal to the contractor responsible for the One Billion Agboyi Inter-Community Bridge Project, as allocated and approved in the 2023 Federal Government Budget, urging a steadfast commitment to quality construction.
The construction of this vital bridge is being handled by Messer Luxury Integrated Mechanic Ltd., under the supervision of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to The President for the Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
Several residents recently voiced their thoughts on the ongoing project, emphasizing the importance of its timely completion and the need to prevent any diversion of funds intended for the project into private accounts.
Comrade Abdulwaheed Odunuga, in a statement, called upon National Representatives to ensure the project’s execution and timely completion while safeguarding funds from any misappropriation.
“Our representatives in the National Assembly should help ensure that this project is executed and completed within a reasonable period and also help ensure that funds for this project do not end up in the private accounts of government officials, politicians, contractors, and community leaders,” Odunuga emphasized.
He also took to his Facebook page to appeal directly to Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, and Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, to oversee the project’s execution in accordance with specified standards.
Another resident, Ibikunle Philip, expressed appreciation for the role played by Olu of Agboyi, Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega, in facilitating this historic project for the benefit of Agboyi Ketu and Kosofe at large. Philip’s appeal was directed at the contractor, the National and State Assembly, and the Local Government Chairman, urging them to ensure the project adheres to specified standards and is completed within the agreed-upon timeframe.
Responding to concerns, the Project Engineer, who preferred not to disclose his name, refuted allegations of substandard construction. He asserted that the bridge was being built with a strong commitment to quality and in accordance with the prescribed measurements.

APC government have “pa egun run” in Agboyi land but some bad resident intends to frustrates it by going to court to stop the project.

Let the community head and other stakeholders write to our representatives at the Federal level to put their voices at the floor in support of the abandoned/ongoing project in question,that’s why they are their for us. Write to their constituency offices , while they read it out during their official sessions.
