Kosofe Local Government Inaugurates New NULGE Executives

The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government in Lagos State, Moyosore Ogunlewe Esq, has inaugurated the newly elected Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) executives in Kosofe. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Council Secretariat and attended by prominent figures including Hon. Ganiu Okanlawon, Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly’s House Committee on Local Government Administration and Community Affairs, Council Vice Chairman Oluwole Sosanya, Leader of the House Idowu Oluloro, and Kosofe APC Chairman Alhaji Kehinde Belo.

Comrade Wale Ojora, Acting State President of NULGE, led the state executives in the inauguration.

During the event, Prince Ade Orababa, the former Kosofe NULGE President, expressed his gratitude to Chairman Ogunlewe for providing a conducive environment for staff and offering palliative support. He highlighted 32 achievements by Chairman Ogunlewe, emphasizing that he had fulfilled 100% of the promises made to the staff.

In his remarks, Chairman Ogunlewe congratulated the former Kosofe NULGE Chairman, Prince Ade Orababa, and appreciated the Senior Management Staff for their support. He urged the newly inaugurated NULGE executives to prioritize revenue collection, expressing his hope that increased revenue would make him happy and encouraging the NULGE President to ensure staff happiness.

NULGE President, Comrade Oyefeso Rafiu Oyemade, thanked Chairman Ogunlewe for staff welfare and the administration’s achievements. He pledged the staff’s loyalty to Ogunlewe’s leadership.

The ceremony also included the commissioning of the newly built NULGE Office named after Hon. Ganiu Okanlawon, the inauguration of a staff toilet and staff stores, and the launch of the staff coaster bus and free shuttle buses. Hon. Ganiu Okanlawon received the honor of cutting the tape during these launches.

In an interview, Hon. Ganiu Okanlawon praised Chairman Ogunlewe’s people-oriented services, his administration’s impact on education and staff welfare, and commended the naming of the NULGE building after him. He expressed confidence that the people of Kosofe would reward Chairman Ogunlewe’s good performance with massive votes in the 2025 elections.
