Hon. Mikhail Afolabi Sofola, the immediate past Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, expressed profound grief upon learning about the untimely demise of Comrade Taiwo Ezekiel Fadipe, the Chief Press Secretary to the Council’s Chairman.

Sofola, visibly devastated, described Fadipe as a symbol of devotion and a gifted publicist, emphasizing that his departure comes at a time when his invaluable services were still in demand. Reflecting on their past collaboration, Sofola recalled Fadipe’s role in his administration as a Special Adviser on Media, commending him for an outstanding job in image-making. He expressed disbelief at Fadipe’s sudden departure, stating, “He is a devoted young man and very hardworking. I couldn’t believe he had gone just like that. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”

Expressing condolences, Sofola pledged to reach out to Fadipe’s wife, aiming to convey his heartfelt sympathies. He also expressed hope that the council would extend support to the bereaved family, particularly considering the young family left behind by the late Chief Press Secretary.

The tragic news of Taiwo Fadipe’s passing, which occurred on Monday, December 4, after a brief illness, sent shockwaves through the community. He was laid to rest the following day, marking the end of a dedicated public servant’s journey.
