In a recent parliamentary meeting held at the council headquarters, Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Samiat Bada, made waves with her declaration of intention to run for the 2025 Chairmanship, earning commendation from Ta’awun Political Forum, Kosofe/Ikeja LG, Lagos.
President Taiwo Lasisi Y of the social-political group praised Bada’s bold step, describing her as the “Ikosi-Isheri LCDA and Kosofe LGAIron Lady, and The Enigma!” In a reaction to the viral report on Samiat’s declaration, Lasisi expressed admiration for her boldness, athletic trait, charismatic prowess, daring outlook, and tenacity in the intense political atmosphere of Kosofe LG.
Asserting his admiration, Lasisi stated, “She threw it already. Let other contestants play the runner-ups to The Enigma.” He noted that Bada’s declaration is a significant challenge for other aspirants who are still hesitant or keeping their intentions underground.
In his final remarks, Lasisi acknowledged the power dynamics at play in political aspirations but emphasized that regardless of the outcome, Samiat Bada has left an indelible mark in the political history of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA and Kosofe Local Government. He highlighted her achievements, noting that she has broken barriers as the first female Executive Chairperson of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, running for a second term, and achieving various political firsts in the region.
