Tensions ran high in Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area, Kosofe, Lagos, as the convoy of Mayor Dele Oshinowo, the Executive Chairman, was allegedly attacked by hoodlums reportedly sponsored by Prince Ibrahim Oladega.

The incident occurred on Friday as Mayor Dele Oshinowo accompanied his entourage in preparation for a joint drive-through event with Olu of Agboyi, Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega Akinmasa 1, and Oruba of Oruba, to mark the inauguration of the newly constructed Agboyi link bridge.

According to reports gathered by Kosofe Post, the council Chairman had arrived early and waited for the two monarchs to join him. However, tensions flared upon their arrival when a hoodlum allegedly sponsored by Prince Ibrahim Oladega approached Mayor Dele Oshinowo and ordered him not to lead the joint drive-through, insisting that the Olu of Agboyi should lead instead.

The situation escalated when the hoodlum purportedly attacked the convoy of the council Chairman before fleeing the scene upon realizing the severity of the situation. Mayor Dele Oshinowo, in response, made a U-turn from the assembly point.

Subsequently, traditional leaders appealed to Mayor Dele Oshinowo for a smooth joint ride, urging reconciliation and cooperation among all parties involved.

As of the time of publishing this report, attempts to reach Prince Ibrahim Oladega for comment on the allegations remained unanswered.
