Renowned social commentator, Kayode Abiodun, also known as Skilla, has joined concerned residents in advising supporters of Ikosi Isheri LCDA Chairman, Samiat Bada, on their approach to public discourse and criticism.

Abiodun addressed the manner in which the chairman’s aides and followers vehemently respond to residents and opponents, noting that their actions may be detrimental to the image and reputation of both the council and its leader.

While acknowledging that the council chairman may have commendable initiatives, Abiodun expressed concern over the aggressive reaction of some of her followers to criticism. He emphasized that while criticism is inevitable in public office, the manner in which it is handled reflects on the council’s standing within the community.

“As a concerned citizen, I understand that criticism is part of the game,” Abiodun stated. He urged Bada’s aides and supporters to promote their principal’s achievements in a constructive manner, rather than resorting to disparaging opponents or individuals questioning her actions.

Abiodun emphasized the importance of civility and constructive engagement in public discourse, suggesting that a more measured approach would garner greater support for the council and its chairman.
