The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Kosofe Federal Constituency, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has declared that the constituency has spoken with a unified voice, urging party members to disregard emerging political disagreements and focus on the 2027 general elections.
Oshinowo made the statement on his official X handle on Monday evening, shortly after incumbent lawmaker Hon. Kafilat Ogbara publicly rejected reports that she had conceded defeat or endorsed a recent party reconciliation resolution concerning the constituency’s candidate.
Without directly naming Ogbara, Oshinowo appeared to address the development by insisting that the APC primary had already settled the question of who would represent the party in the federal constituency.
According to him, the focus should now shift from internal disagreements to building a stronger campaign structure capable of securing victory for the party in 2027.
“No distractions. It is time to take our message of Stronger Representation to every ward, every community, and every household across the Federal Constituency.”
Oshinowo urged APC members and supporters to unite behind the party’s campaign, stressing that the journey towards the 2027 elections requires collective effort and grassroots mobilisation.
He expressed confidence in the party’s ability to secure a decisive victory, adding that preparations for the campaign were already gathering momentum.
The latest statement comes amid renewed tensions within the Kosofe APC following Ogbara’s rejection of the reported reconciliation outcome. While the party continues efforts to consolidate its ranks ahead of the election, Oshinowo’s latest intervention signals his determination to keep his campaign focused on grassroots mobilisation rather than the ongoing internal dispute.
With the campaign machinery already taking shape across the constituency, the coming months will test whether the APC can translate its organisational strength into a genuinely united political front ahead of 2027.
