We’ll make Judicious use of FAAC- Moyo Ogunlewe

The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area, Barrister Moyo Ogunlewe has assured Kosofe residents of making Judicious use of monthly Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) revenue.

He disclosed this during a media parley with online publishers and Community Media Practitioners in Kosofe last weekend.

He said the Federal allocation alongside internally Generated Revenues will be used to execute and implement life impacting policies programmes and projects for the good people of Kosofe.

“I am doing my job, my job is to make ensure that whatever allocation will get from the Federal Government should be used judiciously to programmes that will affect or bring changes to the lives of our people. We are embarking on 10 roads project next week across Kosofe.”

Abioye street, Mende, Adebayo Mokuolu, Idowu dada, Araromi, Odubela, Awana ,Oke-orin, and several others were among roads that will be fixed according to the council Chairman.

The Council Chairman who secured partnership of the ongoing Health centre construction at olojo, Oworonshoki area of Kosofe said the initial plan was to 7 Primary Health centres. He said after Olojo PHC is completed the total PHCs will be 5 and assured the two remaining Communities PHC will be constructed in due course. He added that,” Within a week there will be 24 hours power supply at all our PHC.”

The Council Chairman also announced the procurement of Toll Free ambulance to prevent repeat some covid-19 Lockdown experiences and other related health devepments due to non availability of functioning ambulance to convey patients to hospital.

All the Environmental issues identified by the Council incollaboration with CDC/CDAs during the raining season will be addressed immediately the rains stopped, Moyo assured.

” We have taken several pictures of drainages when it was raining we are already know what the problem is, that’s one of the problem in this country. For me, I don’t think we should fix roads when it’s raining. We should look at the problems during raining season that’s only time you can know the problem when you see drainages that are filled up.”

We distributed 150 GCE forms and organized Free tutorial for High School students.

Procured 4 Revenue buses to boast Revenue drive of the Local Government.

Moyo noted further that all necessary arrangements has been put in place to improve the Council revenue from mere 60Million annually to 200Million next year.

The young and dynamic Local Government Chairman, whose resumption in office has brought a relative peace and stability is engaging each Community youths across Kosofe seperately to identify their problems and empower them where necessary Among others.

Non Pensionable staffs testified on 50% salary increment and other connected benefits.

The chairman who was not too keen on 100 days in office celebration like the famous American writer and author, Kenneth T. Walsh, who believes that 100 days should not be the ideal yardstick to establish the success or otherwise of a leader or government.

He regards it as a functional device for measuring effectiveness It should, however, be stressed that success in the first 100 days does not really translate into an enduring success afterward.

Moyo, submitted 1 year in office should be the yardstick to measure a leader or government. He highlighted multiple programmes and projects embarked on less than 3 Months in office. However, assured that the publics will be given details of the journey within his 100 days in office.
