Urges residents to pay rates and taxes to improve service delivery
In a bid to provide motorable road networks across Kosofe, the council Executive Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe has commissioned multiple road projects in Kosofe.
The council Chairman, who highlighted his achievements, renewed his preference to people’s demands while speaking at the event, implored the people of Kosofe to also fulfil their own side of the partnership by paying their rates and taxes to deliver more dividends of democracy.

The marathon event was held at Ifako Gbagada and Oworonshoki area of the council on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
The newly constructed roads with drainages include Awanatu Street, Oworoshoki, Ogundairo Street, Oworoshoki. Baale Close Oworoshoki. Julius Kadri Street, Ifako-Gbagada and Aran-Orin, Ifako-Gbagada area of Kosofe Local Government.
The council Chairman who earlier completed Abioye Street, in Mende Maryland, and host of other projects during an interview with Newsmen at the commissioning of 4 roads in different wards renewed his continued preference in meeting the pressing demands of Kosofe residents.
While urging residents to take ownership of the newly constructed, said, ” maintain it is your taxpayer. However, warned residents to desist from trading, making burn fire on the road.
“We don’t want you to sell things on the road, don’t burn tires on the road, maintain it because it was constructed with taxpayers money.”
He noted further that the adjacent roads should not be turned to a mechanic workshop.
The Council Engineer, Mrs. Adesanya urged
Commuters, residents, motorists to take proper care of the road, advised residents to clear the drainages every Thursday’s to prevent the newly constructed road from been over flooded.
In separate Interviews with residents of Ifako and Oworonshoki the council Chairman was commended for coming to the rescue of their Communities.
Dignitaries at the commissioning programme include Former Kosofe Local Government Executive Secretary, Gbemisola Ketiku, CDC Chairman, Segun Babatunde, Lagos State Child Protection Network, General Secretary, Rasheed Awofeso, Chief Alhaji Oriola Onalaja, Baale Araromi, Mr Shodunke Oluwole, and host of others.
